ST CROSS FELLOWSHIP

The Fellowship is very sad to record the death of Gordon Hawtin, a long time resident of St Cross and for many years Secretary to the Fellowship. We have sent condolences to his family and made a donation to his chosen charity, the British Polio Fellowship.

Our New Year started with Rev’d Dr Brian Rees telling us “What Little Boys are made of. Drawing on his own childhood experiences growing up in Montreal he emphasized the different pace of development of girls and boys and that one way for all does not work when educating children. Poor exams results by boys when compared with girls may be a reflection of late development not lack of application. His deep understanding of the subject and his caring approach brought home to us why the Pilgrims’ School was so highly rated under his leadership.

Don’t miss the February sequel when Stephen Shuttleworth will tell us “What are Big Boys made of?”

The St Cross Fellowship is a local community group with close connections

with the Parish of St Faith.

Its meetings are open to those who worship in the Parish, to all who live in

St Cross,  and to all family and friends of the community.

There is no annual subscriptions, but a collection is taken at each meeting to defray expenses.

Meetings are normally held in St Faiths Hall, Back Street, on the second Thursday of each month commencing at 7.30pm. See programme for timing of other events.

Coffee/tea is served at the end of the meeting.
